A Wacky look at Cheeky Classics
Over at the Wacky Comics Blog, George has posted some examples of the vintage comic pages that featured in early issues of Cheeky Weekly. As this feature wasn't given a name when it appeared in the toothy funster's comic, I referred to it as the Old Comic feature when I did a post about it a couple of years ago. George has dubbed the series Cheeky's Classic Comics, which is actually a much better title.

ReplyDeleteHi Niblet,
ReplyDeleteJust dropping in to say thanks for "following" my blog there, really appreciate it!
Thanks to your Cheeky index sort of thing, I'm now on a quest to track down Cheeky Weekly from 20/01/1979 - now that I know that Steve Bell only did three puzzle pages, I'm looking to get that last one for the "full set".
No problem, 2HB. Actually, in my quest to summarise all the issues of Cheeky Weekly, I have now reached the 20 Jan 1979 comic, so my post on it will appear here in a few days.
