The ever-excellent Great News blog is taking a look at another issue of Cheeky Weekly, and confronting the uncomfortable issues that arise when considering certain aspects of the comic from today's perspective.
Only thing I find uncomfortable is the ugly jokes at the cinema lady the rest are fine to me... not to take life too seriously..also having a black character was a good thing and wasn't anything wrong at all..Disco kid..so it was a lot better than people think... Anyway I love seaside humour..
There were undoubtedly a few things wrong with the comic which quite rightly would never appear in a modern publication. Despite that, there is still a lot of great stuff to enjoy in Cheeky Weekly.
