The other installment looks like an artist called Lopez who drew the serial Death Planet in issues 62-70 of 2000AD. Maxwell Hawke scripts had previously been recycled as Sexton Blake stories in Valiant so it looks like they really got value for money there!Robbie Moubertnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214345292716209353.post-48762552323804655582010-07-20T15:03:00.317+01:002010-07-20T15:03:00.317+01:00Thanks, Robbie. At least Bold looks really groovy in his late 70s gear!Niblethttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09073399687897131919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214345292716209353.post-8907428995922176372010-07-20T15:10:36.198+01:002010-07-20T15:10:36.198+01:00Hi Cap. In this version the James Bold strip is drawn by a completely different artist. (Possibly Lopez). There are also a few other minor page differences between the dummy issue one and the final version that was publishedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214345292716209353.post-90577011104135245292010-07-22T15:01:04.874+01:002010-07-22T15:01:04.874+01:00Wow!
